Vaccination Passports

From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:

It may take more than a week for your identity to be checked and verified so you can use these services.

If you cannot access these online services, and you have had twovaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS by calling 119. Only call 119 if you had your second dose more than fiveworking days ago. It may take sevenworking days for the letter to arrive.

This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status.

When you’re planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get proof of your vaccination status before you leave.

Vaccination data not showing

If you have downloaded the app and have been vaccinated and the data is not showing, please do the following:

  • 1. If you were vaccinated by us or at the vaccination centre being run at Thornbrook surgery, please contact us and we will look in to this.
  • 2. If you were vaccinated elsewhere, you need to contact the centre where you were vaccinated, and ask them to ensure that they have uploaded your vaccination information to the national database, or ask them to write to us detailing the following:
    a. Your personal identifiable information. This needs to be 3 of the following – Name, DOB, Address or NHS Number
    b. Date of vaccination
    c. Type of vaccination, including batch number and expiry date
    d. Whether it was the 1st or 2nd vaccination

We will need this information for both vaccines.

Unfortunately, if you have been vaccinated elsewhere, we cannot record this in your record based on the information that you give us, it has to be sent by the person/organisation doing the vaccination. This is a national requirement.
